Do you need to do a course to buy the likes of rush spray, or is the course just for knowing how to spray it , could I buy a few jars to give to my contractor to use ,or do I need some kind of paper work even to buy it .?

Would pulling out of Europe make any differences .

No difference at all. Spraying certification is covered under Part 3 of the Food and Environmental Protection Act 1985 and the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986, amended by the COPR (Amendment) Regulations 1997 (SI 1997/188). That didn't come from Brussels.

Is the certification needed to purchase the weed / rush killer/ or is it needed for the applying of it .

If you've been buying from them for years then I expect they aren't too bothered. Try setting up a new account and see whether they want to see evidence of your ticket.

Does anyone know where I can do a PA11 (seed treatment course)
NPTC don't know who runs this course and say I have to phone round centres - have done this for a few but no joy as yet

Well I don't know.
Anyone see Outback Pilots last night ?
Crops in Aus sprayed somewhat haphazardly from airplanes, loaded by blokes wearing no PP whatsoever.....

Sigh.

7810 super q I watched the outback pilots and thought how unprofessional they looked. Did you notice the amount of dilute chemical draining out of fittings when they disconnected the pipe from the pump. they also appeared to spray very close to a water course from a plane with a lot of drift.

I can't remember who i did mine with, but it was a bloke who came out to me. There wasn't necessarily 'training', he just wanted to see you use it. The topic of cleaning the equipment is always an amusing one, because normally the best way to clean it is to put more seed through it, but then what are going to do with semi-dressed seed?

Treat as though it is, er , treated. Which it is.
Yes, but would you buy treated seed which not treated with full dose or had an uneven distribution of treatment across the batch*?

* = no doubt people will start saying that most seed they buy is not treated evenly. I know some of the stuff I have bought in the past has been treated very badly :(

I asked local supplier what paper work I needed to buy pesticides, the only paper work he needed was a cheque,, he says they will never be fit to police it, just a money making scam for training companies.
