Yes I believe so except if you are a member of an assurance scheme.....
I think you are also allowed to do your own agronomy without BASIS FACTS........
I may be wrong though.

NPTC don't know who runs this course and say I have to phone round centres - have done this for a few but no joy as yet

You can do it here in Norfolk as it's one of the Pa modules that I teach.

That's NSTS pass. Not PA1 or PA2a etc. Also not needed on new equipment.
Assurance schemes want certificates and membership of NRoSO for all applications!

And your proof of this is?

You cannot just state a fact like that and not provide relevant documentation to back your statement up im afraid

Someone who is not nroso registered, because they dont need to be, as they are not crop assured, will not fall under the same regulations as someone who has to provide the entire paper trail to keep a jobsworth (sorry "inspector) in a job and riding round in a new car every year. This person also doesnt not claim BPS as their land isnt eligble

Said "someone" could also have passed PA1/2 over 13 years ago and have as much spraying knowledge as any other person

But does that apply if

A....you are not crop assured

B...you only do your own spraying and no contracting

C...do not claim BPS on ANY of your land

D...you are not nroso registered

So why combine the two "facts" when they are clearly not related.

Either way, its un-enforcable in my eyes.

For the smaller scale operator who only has a few acres of land, the MOT will cost more than the BPS payment, so may as well tell they to stuff the lot of it.

Does the test requirement apply to all PAE? – Yes, the requirement applies to all PAE working in all sectors, agriculture, amenity and horticulture, in fact any machine that is applying pesticides commercially. The requirement additionally applies to aerial applications and specialist equipment, including all types of fixed equipment.

Doesn't matter whether you claim BPS, are red tractor or any other organisation.
