that would really pee, my bitchy neighbour off. She goes off on one, for any pp around her. Claiming they would 'overlook' her privacy. Seeing as her garden is quite open, and visible, don't understand the cow. Just looking at the pic, causes evil thought to me, and a chuckle.
Wouldn't be so bad if she looked all right, but she's a scrawny old cow.

They are among us I had one claiming I was stealing her tree that had blown over into field even though I threw all the logs back over.

last bit of planning we put in, so annoyed the p/officer, he was searching for ways, for me to get approval, without going to committee. And he did.
He told us, she was just short of officially being accused of racism, he was well fired up.
l told her to her face, not sure she had ever been spoken to like that, she avoids me now :)

Is anyone growing leguminous trees and shrubby type plants for grazing?
No but i do plant a certain amount of trees suitable for logging annually, to heat our house, they then have to be fenced off to stop exactly that happened else the sheep (and rabbits will kill them asap.

oil / gas central heating aren't a thing here, never have been .

Also the miles of hedgerows need some sort of fencing against them we find or else they get grazed out in the bottom then the banks run down, its all part of farming where we do.

Some of you may find this interesting, there is a bit about seeding part way through, I know it's a bit way out for some of you but we can all learn something new 😉

I did a bit of research & found that mung beans range from 20 - 30% protein ( they are used in a lot of the fake vegan “meats” due to their high protein content ) & faba beans are even higher, ranging from 25 - 35% protein

both are much higher than soy, which is generally less than 20%

we get paid on protein increments for our wheat & durum, so we take a lot of notice of it there, but beans generally have other more important ( that affect value ) specifications & are just always regarded as high in protein. It’s not something they are tested for at our level . . .
unfortunately they need a sustained ,higher temperature than we have here.
pity because it would mean we could grow our own instead of going to the Cantonese take away in town, not that we do anyway :cautious:

I ❤️ bean sprouts

if you can buy the actual seeds ( maybe from an Asian grocer ? ) they are easy enough to sprout yourself at home, as long as your house isn’t completely frozen inside
They germinate at about 12 C

that works out at £35.17 / kg 😮
No. 1 Sprouting Grade ( the highest quality & most valuable grade of mungs ) are worth $1.20 / kg to me - whatever that works out in £££

I do disagree slightly with their sprouting process, it’s not really necessary for them to be in total darkness & I actually prefer to leave the bean on & eat the sprouts raw, rather than cooking them . . .

will be harvesting mung beans in a few weeks, although they won’t be anything like the crop I had last year. They tend to be very fickle & variable, hence their nickname of “Mongrel” beans 🤣

You’re ahead of the game.👍 Nobody will have oil or gas central heating next winter.
