Leica mojortk sim card

Hi I realise the Leica Mojortk system is old now. I bought a used tractor with the system fitted, to be honest I was quite dissapointed with it last year compared to my John Deere system with the electric steering wheel fitted to another tractor. It has been suggested to me part of the poor performance could be the mobile coverage in our area, so I have just purchased a anywhere sim which I understand searches for the strongest of 3 different network providers.

Sim has arrived, I have registered it with anywhere, and I am showing full mobile signal on the Mojortk console, but it displays an error message after a while, no internet connection.

I simply took out the old sim and put the new one in, does anyone know if I need to change any setting in the console to "tell it" there is a different sim, the sim only came yesterday can they take a while to become active?

My other option is to buy a new John Deere receiver mount and wiring harness to swap my electric wheel and what I think is the small 1800 display / controller across, would these items be only available through John Deere or are there aftermarket suppliers?

Many thanks

Rob

There is a 19 digit number with the sim is that the apn?
No. The APN will be a word or a series of words separated by dots. A couple of examples would be "everywhere" or "goto.virginmobile.uk" (without the quote marks).

See this list for common UK mobile network examples of their APN's:

Who is your SIM provider?

Have you tried using the SIM in another device, like a tablet to make sure it can connect to the internet (remember to switch of WiFi on the tablet to make the test representative)?

Phesant surprise, thank you very much for your help!

As you suggested I needed to enter the APN, there is nowhere obvious to enter this on the Mojortk. I have had a really helpful Spanish guy, from I think Hexagon agriculture in Madrid help with entering the APN, he sent me a sequence to access a hidden dealer menu which allowed me to enter it, and while not using the system as yet for any serious guidance work it seems to be working as I've had it switched on while corn carting with the tractor.

Thanks again.
