Lely Combi 300

Is the Lely tedder rake combo still available to buy new? Vermeer sells it in the US as a TR-90. I believe Agco bought Lely hay products, does this tedder rake continue in the UK and Europe?

Anyone use the Lely 300 combi in dry grass hay to ted and rake hay for a square baler? What’s the good and bad?

Thanks!

Thanks again everyone for your replies. I found a like new Lely Combi 300 in Vermeer yellow colors, the TR90.

For those of you with the Lely Combi 300 (or 600), do you have any concerns of finding spare parts, ie tines, tine arms, etc for these rake tedders going forward?

Thanks again for your help!

Update - I picked up a Vermeer TR90 (Lely 300 Combi) - much thanks for the info!

A couple of set-up questions if I may...

Do you typically remove the windrowing cages when tedding to, as the manual states, reduce rattling and wear on the pivot pins or leave them on forever with no ill effect?

Do you typically change the height of the machine (via the wheel setting) from high ground clearance for tedding to low for raking?

Do you typically set the machine to pivot to the right or keep it locked in position all the time and lift?

Any rules of thumb and/or sage advice when operating this rake/tedder combo is much appreciated!

Dont have to remove the gates for teddin but our 300 broke the pins and had to be mended so id recommend takin them of when not in use as its only a 2 minute job

Have a 600 here but basics are the same. Unlock the headstock so it follows you without side loads. Usually ted on second highest wheel setting and row up on second lowest. Rowing up I reduce the pto revs a bit and travel faster so the grass is swept into a row but less chance of flicking it back out and remember to adjust the tines the right way or they hit the gates. There's vids on YouTube from Vermeer but the bloke is running the pto too fast rowing up and it's throwing the stuff back too far

Thanks again for the replies. We will be using this Lely painted Vermeer rake tedder combo soon. We have a YouTube channel and if permitted, I will post a link later this summer.

Again - very grateful for your replies!
