On the phone to the local lely guy today. Nothing available till next year. 1 per 100 cows realistically. Not able to cope with Sand. I’m now going to look at the other auto scraper thread as this one won’t suit us!

I didn't have any problem with grass when I zero grazed.

I've also seen mine in the old parlour pit as well. It was an absolute nightmare to get out. It's so bleedin heavy. We winched somehow if I recall.

This puts me in mind of a stost my wife told me recently. Someone had bought one of these fancy robot hoovers for the house. It was set to run at night around the downstairs when everyone was in bed, either the cat got in or was left in and it left a parcel on the floor. Next morning the owners came down to the strong smell of cat dung and a lovely pattern all over the floor!

just about to build a new shed and a discovery collector was an option instead of hydraulic scrapers, was quoted just over £24k for one which is 3 times the price of auto scrapers! Also not sure of the running costs of one as its like having a little vacuum tanker running day and night, so will put hydraulic ones in and when they need replacing i'll look at the discovery again(in another 15yrs!)
