If you have smooth, level floors then they seem a good idea to me. They're pretty heavy things so you dont want them rolling on their side which they can be prone to doing if the surface isn't great.

The juno is a great piece of kit costing about £11 k new will keep the silage pushed up but you need to make sure that your concrete is in good order and they dont like concrete sleepers, had one on demo but couldn't keep it on track as the concrete sleepers weren't 100% level lely will do you a 3 mnth no obligation demo if you pay the install costs of about£ 400 they'll sell you second hand ones between 5 and 8 grand

at a guess id say no but once he or i have checked round at 8.30 every night he would quite like to switch off unless theres a calver on instead of going back out once more to push the feed up

Yeah I don't check them at night. I'll check them at night milking then they have to fend for themselves until morning milking. It's already a hard enough job as it is without getting up in the middle of the night every night.
