Lely mower conditioning lumpy

Any tips on how to make better rows? It's a 9 ft, tried the hood in all 3 positions but it just lumps it up,to the annoyance of the forage harvester driver. Could the problem be worn conditioner tines? They have gone quite sharp! Don't want to replace them all and find it no better, as I've read they aren't the best but mine seems terrible. Cheers

Was going to say tines. Kuhn used to do same. You will be in heavy grass. Slow down and give it chance to lift it

seems to do it regardless of speed or crop, if anything light crop is worse!
Belts are tight btw!

Reading book noticed that conditioner rotor can be moved! Any one done this with any improvement?

Neighbour had this and he turned the tines round, went well after that.

Tines are definatly worn,think ure only option is to turn them and see if it helps,air gun on the job might not take too long.we had a lely 240 once and it wouldnt make a decent row going downhill cos of the tines

They look a lot better than my neighbours did. His were shorter than that. I think the curve knocks the grass back on itself.

Rotate or replace, that is the question!

Just rotate them an see what happens, save you some money. That's what I'd do.

they'll be fine to turn, air ratchet is the trick what pto speed are you running? i know on our splendimo 320 it has a 540 shaft but you run it on a 1000 speed

Yes same 1000 with 540 shaft .Iwill have a hunt, think I know for a air rachet but never actually used It

As said just turn them. Be good to go for a while again.

Changed all mine last year and have a few part used ones too good to throw out if anyone is interested. Make me an offer!
