Sorry don’t agree, rounded tines won’t do much conditioning, but I don’t think they will heat the gearbox. The second gearbox on mine has always run hotter than the first one.Start to worry if it’s burning the paint off.Make sure the breather isn’t blocked, easily overlooked.
No the breather not blocked because I slightly over filled with oil and it came out

You've over filled the gear box with oil. I did exactly the same with my Lely mower the second season I used it. Checked it over at the beginning of the year, assumed that the little tube on the underside of the filler plug/breather was to measure the oil level, there was even a line marked on it, filled it up to that line, which was quite near the top. Mowed a few acres and realised the gearbox was getting really hot. I spoke to the Lely dealer and they said 'Oh no, that little tube isn't a dipstick, its just part of the breather. The oil should be much lower than that. Yes it does have a line on it, it is a bit confusing isn't it?'

The oil shouldn't be much above halfway up the centre of the gear box, maybe just at the top of the horizontal cross shaft. I drained it out and it was fine thereafter. Only issue will be if you've cooked any bearings with the heat.

Is there a level plug? And where is it?. The dealer we had it off I’ve rung twice to try and get an answer and never got back to me. All so it never came with a manual

I don’t think there is a level plug. The book tells you how much to put in,I remember there was an issue with mine when dealer did the first service. They overfilled it cos it doesn’t all come out the drain plug,I make sure it’s only half full now.if it comes out the breather when folded its overfull.
