Lely slurry sucker

Thinking of installing automatic scrapers and was wondering while I'm getting prices if anyone knows what on offer these would cost
Have heard between 20 and 25k but could anyone be specific about the cost and any reviews would be appreciated. Thanks

I priced one 2 years ago before I put scrapers in, was going to be around £28k and I couldn’t make it stack up against scrapers at £10.5k so that was that, couldn’t see it lasting as long as the scrapers either but that was just my opinion.

Does anyone know if they are able to be used with sand yet? I know lely were holding off letting farmers who bed on sand having them when they first released it but not sure if that's still the case?

Saw 4 working when we went to buy our “hojos” up in Scotland. Price you quote is right plus some additional infrastructure such as watering points and slurry dumps. Were doing a good job but they’re robots so can have a mind of their own.

See above. These were working with sand cubicles iirc .... but don’t quote me as I’m relying on my memory

Thanks for the replies. I been quoted between 10 and 12k for scrapers and 4 to 5 for the channels so think I'll go with that as even though i think a sucker could do a better job, I dont think it'll be 10 grand better.

Amen to that brother.
I'm happy sticking with my robots that are bolted down

What price is the model below the sucker that also sprays water? Does anyone know if there is difference in build design between it and the cheaper model that doesn’t spray water or is it identical but just an added water pump.

I’m looking to buy one for a new build slatted tank shed and the water spray would be handy for the dryer weather times.

Personally I wouldn’t buy one without the ability to spray water. Any stiff muck will smear otherwise and then you’ll run in to skidding problems- both cows and machine

Talking about this thread with my brother this morning, he was in the Netherlands a few years ago and saw an earlier version with just a scraper on the front. He said in a shed in the summer it was having traction issues, everything was so dry it couldn’t push. His feeling was that a system with water would be useful.

Still interested in sand confirmation

As they’ve just been mentioned on the other dairy thread, any updates on price/ performance.
Got one coming for new robot shed, £26k installed with about £5k off the grant, auto scrapers were £12k fitted but running costs on auto scrapers were 10 times the sucker and we would still have to hand scrape around the robot area and crossover points.
From the ones I've seen they are likened to a man permanently walking round with a squeegee
