Hi all does this model of a splendimo run on 540rpm or 1000rpm?

You specified which gearbox when you ordered it, so it could be either!
(I ordered mine with a 1000, but it came with a 6 spline shaft, which was a pain trying to get going with older tractors with fixed pto speeds for a shaft!)

Run it at 540... if it makes a sh*t job, try it at 1000

1000 defo , it's got a reduction gearbox

Online pdf of the owners manual just says not to exceed PTO speed the mower says... so there should be a sticker on it somewhere

I have the LC and as NF says "Not to exceed 540", also on a decal on the machine.

Mine runs at 1000 rpm

My splendimo was 540, until the deere spat it off the back and smashed the PTO gearbox on both the tractor and mower. When they replaced it it came back with a 1000 fitted. Wouldn't cut anything in 540, couldn't work out why until i saw the sticker 1000rpm

Turn the pto shaft and count how many turns the discs do per turn of the pto

I seem to remember the 90degree gearbox can be reversed as it’s geared. 540 in 750 out or swap it round and 1000 in 750 out, but I could be wrong it was 10 years ago.

Ours is a 320MC and is 1000.

Doesn’t really matter it will still struggle to cut grass and then break down
