Lely Welger rpc 245 Tornado?

Hi Guys, Anyone know their way around a Lely Welger Tornado?
Im getting a fault code " Error 1 Tailgate hook open " I then press the info and get " Net is running without tying. Stop machine immediately and check knife"
The odd thing is that the net goes on fine and making a great bale but the door wont come back down unless manual over ride. It sometimes also opens the door on its own and spits grass over the bale that's being wrapped. This happens just as the box has beeped to say " carry on baling "
Is this likely to be a latch sensor or could it be oil pressure / calibration?
Its a 2015 baler and we've just bought it running on a 7530 and the previous owner ran it on a 7530. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Are the springs ok on the latches?threaded bar at one end and hook that snaps at the other end, pulls the latch closed,if they break it won't work in auto .can sometimes use a bungee rope in very short term to get going.although our are 445 so maybe different.

Thanks Guys , Very much appreciated and I'm going to take a look at the latch springs. I also reckon i can run a test on the sensors from the control box.
Seems like a cracking bit of kit and cant understand why there are'nt more of them about?

We had one on demo years ago, non stop baleing is a technically complicated solution to a problem that a McHale Fusion handles with less wizardry albeit not “non stop”. After the demo I bought a Fusion 3 plus and have stayed with Fusions as they do the job.

Yes you can “see “which sensors are working from the control box.

Sorry ,don’t know myself.can’t think I’ve seen that on any pages in the control box though ,but ours are older 445 belt baler tornados so maybe slightly different.should be able to see all the sensors in diagnostic menu if it’s like ours.can send you my number and have a chat if it’s any help but not sure I’m any expert. Have had them five or six years though so have learnt a bit

Evening Mr Shoveller,
Tornado been running like a dream but now have black squares on the screen . Not all over but does hinder viewing the functions but all still works by pressing the adjacent soft buttons. Also when the cameras do their thing the screen is perfect. Any ideas ?
Also was thinking that surely t he Tornados must be iso bus compatible but not sure if an adaptor exists?
Any ideas would be muchly appreciated.
Cheers Shaun

Hello can you help me? Lely Welger Tornado 245 message 9 The carrousel height could not moved within estimated time. Thank you
Are the taps on the rams turned on?if they are on,is there any grass jammed in the gap between the wrapping ring and the chassis,or has the ring dropped onto the bale behind so can’t go any further to achieve its desired height to wrap the baleyou if your in the field working?

Hi Guys, As John mentioned or Mr Shoveller check that the taps have not been knocked firstly. I sometimes have this pop up as a fault but normally passes or i press the emergency stop then re-boot the monitor which seems to resolve. Failing this then a calibration might need to be carried out from the monitor.
When we had our bad times we did a calibration on low then medium then on high revs and this sorted out everything.
Im not sure on how confident you are with your local agent but it seems finding someone who knows is really quite difficult. Mr and Shoveller and I have had contact with Keith at John Payne who maybe able to help?
As for my monitor issues , i got in contact with the guys in Germany who make and program the monitors ( boxes ) and apparently I need a simple update but why our local agent couldn't do this well don't get me started.
I will update with my findings from Germany.
Cheers
