Lemken juwel 8 Fendt 718 alignment

Got a 5 furrow plough and can’t get the tractor to pull straight, the tractor pulls down the furrow but take the 4 wheel drive off and it pulls onto ploughed land. Acts like this however long or short I make optiquick turnbuckle. The landslides seem to point a long way to unploughed land as you look from the back of the tractor. How can I set the plough up to plough straight?

Are you trying to get the toplink to run straight ?
on Lemken ploughs the toplink needs to run at an angle pretty much pointing towards the back furrow
Have you checked for enough free movement on the link stabilisers ?
Are you on wide tyres and is there enough distance betweeen the tyres for the plough ?
we had a 716 and a 718 on both KV and Lemken ploughs, admittidly not a Jewel plough and they pulled straight to the point where if yopu let go of the steering wheel she would straighten a curvy start herself

It is the inner turnbuckle you alter, needs to be longer i think, good luck.
I have always been amazed how much easier it pulls when it is just right

I know this is a thread revival but did you ever get to the bottom of this? Having the exact same trouble with a europal 7 on a McCormick and it’s driving me mad

Got the same here. Was told by the lemken dealer that the top link should be angled to the middle of the plough. We are running a 5 furrows and were told to run the top link in line with the 3rd furrow

Forget the top link, set the front furrow width with the outer turnbuckle then adjust the inner till it pulls straight.
Go too far and it will pull you onto the lands, l like it pulling slightly to the land.

Ploughed late with it last night, and I’ve literally tried everything. It doesn’t match up 100% perfect either.
Ploughs 5 decent furrows both ways but they won’t butt up perfectly. front furrow width is measuring out perfect now after pegging it all out and checking, adjusting and checking again, stabilizers slack, top link in the slot and just kissing the front of the slot as per lemken instructions, but I cannot get this side draft right.
No matter how much I lengthen or shorten that inner turnbuckle, soon as the front axle is switched off she wants to climb onto the ploughed land. And feels heavy to pull at times.
Had a full set of landslides, shares, points, turn over stops are good, and it still doesn’t pull straight or match up they way I’d like

Does the headstock move towards the ploughing like in the video when you lengthen the inner turnbuckle?

Headstock moves away from the ploughed land when I lengthen it, you can see it moving across the back of the tractor, and it moves towards the ploughing when shortening.
Ran it last night with the top link pointing roughly towards the 2nd/3rd body, away from the ploughing.
I’ve followed the sticker on the plough beam and continued to shorten it, to the point it was closed up and turning the plough over became difficult so I’ve lengthened it back out and just pushed on in the end

Works the opposite way to that video, ours is a europal and I think the video is a jewel but I could be wrong

I am not sure it can be different, if shortening has not worked try the other way lots

Been there too, started off last night with it as long as I could get it to try and see a difference, this was following Friday evening of being at its shortest. Tractor Still wants to pull out of the furrow bottom up onto the ploughed land. Certainly very strange. There’s nothing “quick” about “optiquick” on this plough

Very rarely touch inner turn buckle as never found it alters things much. Nearly always adjust the outer turn buckle (front furrow width), if plough isn't running quite straight or matching up.

Forget your top link set your front furrow width then turn your inner turnbuckle until that nut that holds the front bearing on is dead central to the tractor both ways once it’s set you should never be more than a few flats from right when conditions change.
As for it not matching up are you on wide tyres? If so try ploughing front furrow a little bit narrower it will sit it up more
