It's not a matter of tariffs as such.
It's more a standards issue which will be the problem.
Brexiters expect that rules and regulations around food production won't apply to them in the same way as they apply in the EU.
Brexit contributors on here strongly promote protectionism with regards to farm produce. British product on British shelves.
Brexit promoters on here expect to have all pesticides available to them as before even though the EU is rapidly tightening up in this area.

A two way stop on trade will happen by default. British food will no longer be exportable to the EU due to standards disparity with EU regulations.
EU food will no longer be able to compete in Britain due to higher standards and cost of production.

The new farming Nirvana in UK will usher in a golden era for its farmers.

No effective competition from Europe at least and minimal regulation and restriction on production systems at home. All topped up with that cheque in the post from London which BoJo et all have promised. What's there not to like about it! Vote OUT[emoji57]
Because of course, there's nothing imported into the EU at the moment that Hasn't been produced to every rule imposed within the EU. Thankfully no GM soya or tomatoes, or produce grown with chemicals that aren't fully licensed by Brussels! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The world is buzzing with EU inspectors well versed in these things. They have even been trained to recognise the difference between a horse and a cow so as not to get confusing beefburgers.
