letting land - advice needed

I have ended up owning a block of land (Scotland), which is probably best suited for grazing / silage. I thought it might be relatively easy to find a website that matches farmers wanting to rent land with people who have ended up owning it, then drawing up a short term tenancy. But after extensive searches I cant really find how that takes place - either it doesnt happen on the web or my internet skills are shoddy. There is virtually nothing on the usual gumtree, ... and the things advertised on this site appear to be either sales of land or machinery. Anyone give me advice on how to get in touch with someone locally that might want extra acres, or is it just a case of driving and knocking on doors?

Where about in Scotland? There used ro be a fair amount of grass let by auction, which was a good way of setting rents. As others have said try land agents, auction markets. Other option would be place an advert in the Dundee courier or press and journals farming section (depending on area) or just go and speak to the neighbours.
