Use a power harrow, set the depth on the rear packer roller so the tines are just skimming the surface, it can look a bit dramatic but a few days later you wouldn't know as the ant hills although rock hard are broken into fine soil by the power harrow a little weather and growth and you wouldn't know you've done it, but it will be nice and smooth to drive on!You been wandering around my place @farmerm?
I am wondering how to level it a bit of PP, as ploughing is contra-indicated!! Cannot even spray or top dress as it is so so lumpy!
Yes I was thinking do a fairly shallow pass with something then find a top tilth
Why did the farmer not level the fields out before no-til, surely drilling depth would be compromised?Have taken on managing a farm that has been no till for a while but some of the fields are really quite rough.
don’t want to properly roar fields up because the soil is in good stead underneath.
some kind of shallow tine and levelling have board?
Just drilling at angle won’t sort it out quick enough.
Disc drills have good contouring but there is a few fields which are just abit too rough and need sorting. Why did the farmer not level the fields out before no-til, surely drilling depth would be compromised?
They must be rough if your thinking of disturbing the soil ajd!?

I have sinned!
I’ve just bought this 15 year old Vaderstad Cultus for levelling a few fields and incorporating fym.View attachment 953238
I wouldn’t say a ‘song’ , but considerably cheaper than more fashionable versions.I bet you bought that for a song.
Now where have I seen that...was that from matey at Tadcaster? I bought a flatliner from him earlier this year and think I went for a nosey while I was there to investigate the packer on that cultus...it’s certainly got some weight to it!I have sinned!

That was another way I think would be good for doing it, maybe get DC down the road to put some beans in.
