Levelling stone before concrete

Will be putting down about 10 inches of 2 to 3 inch stone. Then pouring a slab of concrete on top of this. I have about 100 tonne of the at one coming this week. What's the best way to get this as level as possible before vibrating roller comes in.

My plan was to scatter it with the loader bucket and use the land leveller but will I be a good bit off in places ?

Depends what sort of gear you have available.
We used to use a long piece of timber and a level and knock markers in everywhere before trying to level a site.
These days you can use a laser level with an attachment on the digger arm to make sure it’s right.

If you are using a trailer then tie the back door to allow 4-6 inch opening then drive at a steady pace. You can spread with a loader by reversing and tipping as you go then drag a heavy metal beam round the site

Get a 360 with steel tracks and a good operator. Thin layers and track it in as you go.

Probably best with 2 - 3" stuff to get it roughly level them use a couple of inches of 40 mm on top to get it spot on

Mine was done with top rock (big lumps of limestone up to 150mm or so) then railway ballast which is 50-100mm ish and lovely even stuff to use, then blinded over with 50mm ish of mot/type 1. The type 1 takes out the lumps and bumps of the levels and gives a good base for the concrete.
Point being, get it close and tidy up with some finer stuff.
