We're lucky enough not to have to bring it on the road. Only thing is afew gaps might have to be wider 🤣. As far as I know evo is the top spec model with all the bells and whistles (dealers words) Also it has afew extras inside like a thrashing drum on top of the straw walkers to help break up the straw more and afew other bits inside to help get a cleaner grain sample . We're going from a 106 dominator.

You'll enjoy using it, that's for sure, then, especially the auto-contour.
First time I lifted the side covers on our 460, it frit me to death, looked hellish scary :ROFLMAO:, so much so, I nearly didn't buy it.
If you have managed to keep a 106 this long, without burning it, you already know the importance of blowing it down religiously every day. Remember you have got over 300hp of heat to dissipate now, not 200hp.
The main pulley off the engine gearbox acts as an impeller, to keep it cool, so you must keep that clean inside. Check that the shaft seal is dry, and keep gearbox topped up.
Check also the nylon bushes in the top variator pulley are good, and that the three holes in the outer sheave centre are not elongated, you will have to remove the tin guard with the 3 13mm headed bolts to check this. That sheave pack is about £3.5k worth, if its knackered. Check the brake calipers, they are notorious for seizing.
Check also that all the shaker shoe metalastic bushes are good.
Dealer should have done all this, but do check, so as not to end up paying for someone else's negligence.

Thanks for the reply. Yes we've gone through a good bit of checking various bits around and from what we can see it's OK. The dealer is going to be taking it through the workshop also. Because we're getting it close to halfway through the season they extended the warranty for next season as well so that gives us a piece of mind too. Yes our 106 was always given a blow down throughout harvest so will be carrying that on just on a bit bigger scale 🤣🤣.

David made very good points. One place worth checking is the bearing inside the fan pulley. Cheap bearing but once the sh!t the bed the fan takes the radiator out as well as itself. Mine in the 480 got loose in the pulley and was scratching like the belt was slipping.

460 evo is a good combine, C9 Cat as opposed to v6 merc, the cat engines can drink a bit of oil. Theres little difference other than cosmetics otherwise. As with all lexions check the back of the printed circuits for burns, make sure header loom hasn't been eaten by rats and laser pilot works. Have a look how thick the tin still is on grain auger floors and elevator boots, sealed bearings all over it can amount to a hefty bill so make sure they are generally quiet. Spin the hydro filter off and pour contents over some paper towel, it's expensive doing hydro, I'm just having mine fixed. Output box leaks on end of engine want a look. Make sure air compressor works, they are dear too.

Thanks for the the replies info and things to look out for. Definitely gonna be a big step up from our 106 we will be a bit sad to see her go as she has served us well over the years but she was part of the deal. But definitely looking forward to sitting in a bit more comfort and not having the engine right behind the seat 🤣🤣👍
