HELP !!!!!
New combine!!
Having great difficulty in achieving a good sample. Seeds seem to be small. What should I change from the claas own settings. Full list would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance

Not on our the machine myself at moment but main differences by memory were concave wider open than they say about 40mm and bottom sieve much tighter shut at about 4mm.

What's the problem with the sample ? Un trashed pods or chaff etc ?

Concave all the way open, then back 5 in case you block it !

Lowest rotor and drum speed you can run (lower than the class adj settings)

Air higher than Claas settings - you won't blow it over the back

Bomb doors closed

Sieves can only really be set up in the field but generally 4-5 tighter than adj settings

All from memory as we haven't started yet, will post ours (770) on Wednesday when we do start if your still struggling

It's ready here, would cut tomorrow if they were not busy fitting the anti fire kit !

Want osr and barley cleared by weekend, might take a month off then until we have some wheat ready ! still green as grass mostly

What is the anti fire kit a compressor and some pipe or is it top secret :cautious:

Thanks for that Clive. Trashy sample and loss monitors going wild over the sieves and returns heavy. Look forward to hearing how you get on.

Sounds very like your over thrashing it on the basis it is fit, open it up and slow it down and close those bomb doors if open to reduce load on sieves and sample and output will improve
