@NFU @Guy Smith I think this is one for the trading standards re. labeling.
"What is the best way to reduce the carbon footprint of your diet?"
I think it's about time our industry representatives stood up and tackled this misleading climate change issue head on now before there is no industry to represent.

First things first. The NFU - and the AHDB - broadly agree with that statement. They need to change their own view before they can go around challenging the views of others.

This just about sums up the whole vege thing. The meat has been replaced with probably substandard vegetables, the consumer forks out good money for an inferior product because they are being led to believe it is good for their health or the environment.

Wasnā€™t 5 minutes ago that ā€œprocessed foodā€ was the route of all evil and responsible for most health conditions.
Everybody is now being encouraged to eat mould grown in a factory that looks like giant frothing vessels of dog sh*t, all in the name of saving the planet and human health??!!??

Funny world, amazing how people are easily led!

Well, on the basis that it is on the AHDB website, and is what you find when you search on there for info about farming and the environment, you can only assume that it is their attempt at promoting the industry to the general public, journalists and politicians.

edit: There is a glaring typo on there. I emailed the two top people at AHDB about it a month ago. It is still there. They want sacking, the lot of them.
