Lighting up my JCB

Loading wheat this morning in the dark and my ancient lights cause a shadow above the lip of the lorry trailer.

What I think would be great is a pair of swivelling lights mounted at the end of the fixed part of the boom,(I'm using a JCB telescopic loader) that would illuminate more of the top of the trailer, bottom of bucket.

They would then also swivel round for 'heap' work, when the boom is lowered, the bucket is in a building.

Is there anything like this on the market, preferably LED ?

A quick google doesn't turn up much.

just need a couple of boom lights angled to the bucket/wagon edge when up and a couple of cab lights for the shed when boom down

Could you weight them to swivel like the boom angle indicators do that are on some loadalls?

Or if you find a sweet spot with bright enough lights one position might be good enough?

That's my thoughts.

Could make my own, just wondered if there's something already on the market, and if there's a more practical problem with them swinging perhaps.

These are what you need, I have about a dozen on various machines now:

Really good quality, make sure you get these "76" they are the floods rather than the "77" which are the spots. Search the web as you'll find them much cheaper than this. Don't buy stuff which seems really cheap, it won't last!
Don't forget when you install they are polarity specific.

Thank you, maybe a flood would be a start, then maybe try a swivelling axle if I still struggle with light on the subject.

£50 would buy you 10 x 27w round led lamps on eBay, enough for you to light up the loadall like a Christmas tree. I have a pair on the back of my loadall probably their 2nd or 3rd year with no problems, don't have any problems with interference on the radio, no brainer really !
