If ur lookin a lighter tractor a coventry built massey will fit ur bill well. Either a 200, 300, or 4200 series and at this stage in thier there wont be any depreciation probably appreciate in value on a 10 year basis

Got a Massey 4255 here, great 95hp tractor that isn't too heavy. Nice and simple and still some about for around 15k mark

35/TL series NH should be in budget as should the MFs that have been previously mentioned.

Valmet. Be cheaper and higher capacity than the mf mentioned. Based on few I have seen for sale the last months in NI anyway

Valmet 6400 if you can find a tidy one... Basic but reliable. Had ours from new and all it’s ever needed is two track rod ends and a front hub seal. Punches above its weight really.

They're alright if you avoid the LP cab and the shuttle gearbox. Pro versions are generally better put together and more reliable but they're no 844 or 856.

Dry or wet ground, flat or steep, roadwork, how far?
It will have no problem pulling a 10 ton trailer in good conditions for occasional use.

I hope to be pulling a Hitachi ex 60 on fairly hilly ground. Would it run a John deere 459 or 456a Square baler?

Renault 103 54 A very nice tractor to drive all levers and not much in the way of electrics or Fendt 309 I think both have the mwm 4 pot turbo engine in which pulls very well

A baby Renault ares will be in budget, not the lightest tractors but pull very well and very comfortable.
