Lime Costs

I would be willing to bet a lot of money that the lime shown is not Huntsman Lime from Naunton Quarry.

If you were told it was @Jon 3085 then I would start asking some serious questions. I spread up to 16,000 tonnes per year from Huntsmans and I’ve never seen it that colour or that moist.

Plus, as far as I know, I am the only merchant they supply in the UK. That’s what they tell me anyway.

Happy to be proved wrong, but I have a sneaky feeling you’ve been sold something other than Naunton lime.

Loaded at Oathill Johnstons on my tickets
Same colour spread well .

Mag lime seems cheaper than calcium lime and has the same NV - why doesn’t everyone use mag lime ?
Mag lime in our area is £33/t delivered and spread. That yellow line in the photo above (imagine it’s the same Cotswold quarry as it looks the same) is £26.
Also, recently the mag lime has started to look like boulders

That lime looks way too yellow compared to any Huntsmans or Burford Quarry that I have previously had.

Man who spread it said it came from Oathill he thought.
