Dear All

I've been with Lime Jump for a couple of years and i have an export contract coming up at the end of the month. They tell me on email today that they have to back charge for my data collection from July 2020 at a cost of 30 pound a month.

I'm at a bit of a loss why all of a sudden are they hitting us with these charges.

I use Opus for collecting the Fits so if i go back to them will they charge this fees ect...

Any info would be a big help

Thanks

Do you not pay your meter operator?
it costs me £375 a year ( incuding VAT) for Npower to collect mine per meter, which is an extortionate rip off!

Me too, also originally with Opus. I look at it slightly differently as I have always been waiting for this to catch up. I pay £95/year for the meter to WPD (after buying it initially), pretty sure this doesn't cover the dc/da, which is done by Stark. I did speak to them at the start, not knowing what I needed, may have inadvertently appointed them, but never had a bill. Whether Opus, and now Limejump have been paying them (I doubt they work for nowt), I don't really know, but it's hard to argue against.

I've had this as well. I have tried to contact Stark and IMserv to see if I can get a quote for a contract to go direct to a data collector directly. But they don't answer the phone.
If they don't answer the phone, not sure I want to deal with them... If something goes wrong, I can't contact them... Email is OK, but often ignored.

So looks like I have little choice but to pay the £30/month for limejump to deal with the DC.

Anyone know what the costs are to go to a data collector directly? less than £30/month ?

I have had this aswell. We were with Opus but moved to Limejump 18 months ago for a better Export rate, but this year they’ve been abit slack.
And to top it all deciding to pass on the DC/DA costs it just never ends. The rates are currently rubbish as it is.So it looks like we will have to shop round for for a cheaper rate for that now too.I just wonder why they have all of a sudden decided to pass these costs on.

Are limejump resonding to phone calls or e-mails now? We were with them for a year but I couldn't get any response from them in the summer when our contract was due to renew, so we left them. They're still sending me e-mails about this DC/DA stuff now in spite of me e-mailing them to tell them we'd left them in the summer. They've been an effing shambles this year, even allowing for covid problems.

I have had dealings with them this week, and they have been a lot better than they were.
Doesn't help that the PPA market is bad, so margins are tight and you know what happens, then. Companies can't be bothered.

Fair enough. I couldn't be bothered to deal with a company like that any more.

Agree....shambolic although you would hope improves under Shell umbrella.

Back office support and admin is so important when looking at PPAs that’s why I struggle with auction platforms / websites like E Power and REX where you can’t factor that into who you decide that you want to contract with. You might end up with a supplier who creates a complete mess, slow payments etc… In fairness I haven’t had major issues with Limejump but don’t think they have managed the remote working as well as some others…

Limejump need to pull their socks up!!
The whole DA/DC thing is just another way of saving them more money..Opus are still probably the best but don’t pay enough.
