hot or cold? decaf? or should i grind them some taylors hot lava java?

as with all toxic plants its animals dying when theres feck all food else to eat - cept acorns as thats good pannage but not when green.
It’s the caffeine they need. From late night pre exam study experiences at Wye, hot Java lava is as good a memory eraser as you can get: Wasted in sheep imo!

The most magnificent tree here is a broad leaved lime. Must be 200 years old going by the size of it.

Have planted half a dozen more around the place, but I'll never see them get to a decent size.

Maybe not practical, but there's a small but fairly lucrative market in wood for woodcarvers and lime is by far the most popular, it's a dream to work with. You can buy 6-8 small 6-inch battens of it for about £15 on ebay.

Before we moved here in spring I did some judicious pruning on two lime trees we had in our old place, and have milled the branches myself. Laborious but worth it.

The Americans call it basswood and all the carving vids on Youtube speak of nothing else (for carving or woodburning).
