Linkage Arms Slow

Hi,

I have noticed my Linkage arms on my 3085 are becoming very slow to rise and lower, so what should I be looking for here?

It has had all the filters and oils changed, so I assume that would have been the first place?

If it's slow up and down it could be a more mechanical reason, perhaps the crossshaft a bit seized, or pick up hitch rods catching. Is there a speed knob on them which might have been knocked?

if its raise and lower probably a seizing up type problem.
our 3120 once got worse and worse I think it wouldn't go down, it was the rod that the solenoids operate a spring had tightened up so solenoid wasn't strong enough to open it, took some finding!!!

Ok, sorry if this comes across dumb, but as I have never owned a tractor before - where is the pump located, and how would I check the flow.
Also - what / where would the screw be located on the arms - plus how would I check for damage / siezing of the cross shaft?

Thanks again.

Pump is in the gearbox behind the cover in front of the right rear axle. Test pump pressure with a gauge into a spool valve outlet. Lift valve is in front of the left rear axle, 2 solenoids on a valve. Push one end manually to go up t' other to go down. See if it's any faster than using the switches, but make sure the feckin handbrake's on (if it works) before you get underneath

Thanks,

Is there a special fitting / dial for the pump check as I do not currently have one so will need to purchase the kit?

Also - I assume I cannot take any plates off due to the axle oil?

OK, so being a muppet with the tractor thing - am I correct in thinking I need to remove said items to be able to ascertain if they are free moving?
might be worth pulling the pins on the lower link arms just as a trial.
is it any faster with weight on like an implement or even a loaded trailer on the pickup hitch.

try the very simple things first on the control panel there are 3 dials along the top the left one is up speed the right is lower speed have these been tampered with ? as in turn them and see if it speeds up

I have just hooked up some chain harrows (6mtr wide), and the arms go up and down quite quick with the load on. But when I was hooking the tractor up - it was like waiting for paint to dry watching the arms go down.

Going up is fine.

Will have a look to see if that is an issue - but the dials do look like they are in the same positions, but who knows - worth a wiggle!

Speed control been moved ? or rusted up linkage, if going up ok pump must be ok.
