It's about £110 a can from memory. I used one can last year on a headland that had a little bg. its done a good enough job for me but it was mixed with 3 lt of Crystal and this is bg that has only seen FFCT once before and never avadex.

How much is powdered per ha?

The argument for reduced active loading (without corresponding reduction in price/Ha) is that the more even dispersal of the liquid is better. Make of that what you will.

First time user in WB - positive so far, but real test will be when it's growth spurt slows and the rubbish shows its head(s).

I used a few hundred hectares this autumn after being let down by a granular contractor. Similar price for 66% of the active but you can mix it with the pre-em which is obviously a huge cost and logistical saving. I'm relatively happy with it, definitely not as good as granular but then we don't have another set of wheelings in a damp seedbed as we are 36m tramlines. Organising avadex or running your own unit is a PIA at that time of the year.

5l/ha would give you the same g/ha of active as 15kg of granular for £15ish/ha more. Not that you would ever consider doing this of course but it seems to be priced to be the same as granular plus the cost of a contractor.

Last time I used the granules, in 2016, It cost £48.60 per hec, then I think it was £5 acre to spread. A good job was done but,it was nearly 2 weeks after the first sown.:( Thinking if liquid works it may be better to do it myself with the pre em as nev12345 said, and get it on at a better timing.

Think liquid scores in terms of potential application accuracy esp with wide booms and auto section control. How often do you see misses with granules or wind affecting spread pattern. There is also the mega important factor of timing, not having to wait for a contractor could make all the difference with difficult BG.
I will be trying a bit this autumn most probably.
