LIQUID CARBON FERTILISERS

What do you mean by carbon fertiliser? There are a few people using molasses with their liquid UAN fertilisers to help the plant and soil biology use it.

Here in Canada a few years ago one of these snake oil companies conned several people in the area to use the carbon in tractor exhaust as a fertiliser(?) when incorporated at seeding with air seeders. It turned any fertiliser you used alongside it (to hedge your bets) sticky with condensation if run in the same lines.
Very expensive shiny aluminium piping systems produced reduced yields, but very much better root structures supposedly.
One family tried to make it work for about 4 years!
Very expensive shiny aluminium piping systems now not so shiny languishing in the weeds round the edges of the farmyards.
Lessons learnt?

But maybe the liquid carbon you are talking about is different?

It’s mad that such systems can be sold and these claims made (and published by the press!)....yet there is no true substance behind them.

Thats the one Brisel. The one I was looking at was mentioned on page 66 of February Arable Farming. By the name of Boost.

Read the bumf on this earlier and it claims to add yield to pretty much every crop, apparently backed up by independent trials too. It makes no mention of what's actually in it though but my guess would be trace elements added to a molasses, bacteria, fungi etc, etc. Apparently a couple of notable no-till farmers use it too.

Been looking into this myself, LCF Boost seems to be the more 'known' version (advertised on here) but little info on what is actually in it. I have been shown a product from a company called ED & F Man which I think I will try.
Black Label goes on @ 25l/ha prior to drilling, Gold Label with liquid fert or fungicides etc on the growing crop @5l/ha per pass.

I have spoken to ED & F Man and they would only recomend the Black label for adding with liquid fert.
Did you try any yet, if so how is it?

Yes used up 3/4 of the IBC I had from them so far. Easy to use no blocked nozzles or any issues. 5l/ha doesn't sound a lot but it makes a 1000l tank of liquid fert turn dark brown and smell like mollasses. Very little scorch so far, but I haven't done any without the Gold Label to compare though. I was recommended it by an agronomist with no ties to ED & F Man, Gold label @ 5l/ha on the crop with liquid fert, though perhaps it could go on with fungicides as well, Black label @ 25l/ha pre drilling, perhaps with Roundup to save extra passes with the sprayer pre drilling.
