That's good, all the more for me.
Mum tried growing them a few years ago. Very successful too! They were bloody everywhere. In the end I tied a box too our front gate and put a “Free too good home” sign on it. As fast as I put the marrows in it they were going! The next year she suggested growing them and dad, my brothers and I had too be very firm that we would dig up and dispose of any marrow plants we found!
 
That is quite a change of direction indeed!! :)

Fair play if he can do it though, cannot be that many who are successful at it.
The closing of Penkridge poultry market coincided roughly with when he left school, and he'd been dabbling in a few pony's for a year or two so a natural progression I think.
