Not been good here still a lot of snow about and find more dead sheep each day as the snow clears, havnt been on the tops yet so fearimg the worst and hoping for the best. These are a couple of photps taken with phpne< the oudoor cattle do ok as the snow dosnt drift in the woods,

The other is my youngest sons ewe, we got it as a pet Black Welsh Mountain X Tex, first year it lambed it had a black Charly gimmer so mr kept that as well, so he has two ewes and five lambs,> I wish i had his sheep managment skills ;)

I have a request, has any one got any video's they have taken of their livestock giving birth?
I have never been involved in the beast side of the job, and a couple of weeks ago missed out on a calf being born by about 20 mins when on a farm in Yorkshire.
I have played midwife to several litters of pups (and seen my own kids being born) but would love to see the birth of something that is on it's feet and walking around in a matter of minutes.
TIA

Some photos taken with the phone when out on the fell trying to get the sheep gathered some had already lambed (Rouge Tip) had to dig out the gate but the lonnin was 2m deep so just built a ramp at both ends one with tractor the other by hand.

Many thanks, look forward to watching it if your successful.
Just to let you know I havnt forgotten the video, have had to split it into short lengths to get it to upload to you tube,it is telling me it is "processing" so I assume I have cracked it this time.(y)

@llamedos, Many, many thanks for going out of your way to get those video's posted for me, it is now on my bucket list to see an event like that first hand (hopefully at the tender age of 48 I have several years to cross that one off the list). Do you ever get tired of witnessing lambing or does it just merge into the "same old, same old" routine?
Thanks again
Jon
