What happens to all these houses out in the countryside or on the edge of villages which have commanding views over the fields beyond when the farm at the end of their garden is bought by some corporation to offset carbon?. Instead of the lovely view, in 20years time they have a wall off trees at the end of their garden?

Are their rules about this?

If not can see there being a lot of peed of people if this is to happen on a big scale

BOURNEMOUTH NEWS
Wealthy homeowners on a street of houses worth up to £3 million each are being investigated by police on suspicion of killing two large oak trees that blocked their sea views.

The 21m (70ft) mature trees, believed to be about 80 years old, have had holes drilled into their trunks and poison poured in a “shameful” act of sabotage. They stand on the edge of a recreation ground between Poole Harbour, Dorset, and homes that sell for up to £3 million.

A farm not so far from here got fed up with the residents of a row of houses over the road complaining about the view over the farm, not enough hedges, trees were the wrong species (poplars), fields too big etc. So said farm planted trees on their side of the road, and you can guess what they complained about then ! But original problem solved and they only had them selves to blame.

Goes the other way to.
Recently harvested trees around the principle house on the farm and now you get all the gawpers and rubber neckers slowing up when they drive past it.
Not really bothered by others views from their properties, I they wanted that there are concrete and steel towers available elsewhere that no tree will grow past...

Always the same with townies. The move out to the beauty of the countryside because it the good life. Three days later buy a chainsaw because they want a better view, the hedge they just chopped down was stock proof and now the f ing farmer should come get his sheep off the lawn. Up goes a fence to mark their territory, But has a gate to access the fields so they can walk their dog across the beautiful field because after all “we’re all country folks now”
my view is townies if you don’t like what’s happening in the countryside stay away and mind your own business. Can’t see many loosing sleep when you sell and disappear.
