Liz Truss

I'm told that in our farmshop, lots of local people think Liz Truss would be a great leader.

Must admit, I think she is a bit of a tart, two faced, ruthless in her own ambition & not suitable.

Given the situation we need a fresh face on the fringes of the cabinet, I nominate Victoria Aitkens, Mrs British Sugar. Shame she was a remainer because it may put her out of court, although she is very capable.

Amber Rudd, maybe the best prime minister we never had?

I always thought David Davis was the best prime minister we will never have but who knows Biden got in at his age?

Ms Truss... was chatting about her the other day. I've no experience of her, but a couple of people who have say she is pretty bright and very straight-talking.

I've no problem with her having supported Remain in thr referendum, she's shown she respects the result.

I'm not against her, but I don't feel she is the unquestioned top candidate.

It is not up to me to promote any particular person and as for the Labour party , well atmy age I can hardly remember when they were in power 😂😂😂
Perhapswe should ask the good people of Breckland what she has achieved. That is of course her constituency if she remembers

Just read her Wikipedia bio' and a few other write-ups on her... if anything she has now gone up in my estimation, a bit.

As for her constituents, every election she has stood in there - four in total - she has raised the Conservative share of the vote; she started on 48.3% and is now on 69%. I think it reasonable to write that the voters there must approve of her as an MP.

Saw her speak at the Northern Farming Conference Years ago when she was in Defra. Some old toff next to me said; ‘I don't understand why they sent the head of six form from the local girls school to talk to us’
I though that's why she is so popular with the branch membership, a bit of totty to get the old heart racing. She's not that popular in Westminster I gather.

She was parachuted into her consituency as locals preferred a local man,but that was over ruled by conservative central office. The media remarked upon her beating "The Turnip Taliban" when she was elected. Her best local success was to get the F35's into RAF Marham rather than elsewhere.
