Certainly is, more often called a Twin Steer when on a tractor unit.a real man's truck is that what they called a Chinese six ?
my home town was Sandbach so I have a soft spot for E R F and FODENCertainly is, more often called a Twin Steer when on a tractor unit.
To be fair the B series ERF was a big improvement on the A series, then one day a regular turned up in a new Scania 80, synchro gearbox air assisted clutch, power steering and power to spare, he let me drive it round the block, 4 wheeler with a turntable drawbar trailer on the back. Just as easy and comfortable as a car to drive.Whilst I love seeing the pictures, it would be a hard days work driving that Guy all over the country.
We had an A series ERF when I was young and I often went with my father, I quite liked riding in it at the time, but when we changed to an F10, what an improvement.
Look for corbetts hay straw they ran them for yearsa real man's truck is that what they called a Chinese six ?
to be fare neither E R F nor Foden moved with the times they were owners truck rather than drivers trucks they were simple and robust and cheap to repair there were plenty of chaps around Sandbach that knew them inside out and a plentiful supply of second-hand parts also having a glass fiber cab they didn't suffer from the tin worm in old ageTo be fair the B series ERF was a big improvement on the A series, then one day a regular turned up in a new Scania 80, synchro gearbox air assisted clutch, power steering and power to spare, he let me drive it round the block, 4 wheeler with a turntable drawbar trailer on the back. I protested I'd never pulled a trailer like that, he just said forget it's there it'll just follow you .
