Give me thirty acres to turn my truck around
As the song goes lol

Unless its too make the unit rear axle more in the middle off the train what is the point

Axle weight / spacing requirements. If it was like ours all the weight of the first 3 axles would be together which could break bridges.

Yeh thats what i thought
And there gross tractor trailor weight is lower than our 44 tonnes is it not
But they run tandem or more trailers in some states

I think I there’s a little bit of one-upmanship and bravado too though, isn’t there?

You mostly see those long chassis units with ultra low profile tyres and suspension and a superb paint job.

Looked like it was not loaded though !!! and that being the case I recon that if you had a tow bar on any people carrier it could have done the same on tarmac like that with a little bit of caution and maybe an auto box to save the clutch

Motorway police / traffic patrols here will pull a 44t’er off the road with their Discovery’s if necessary. Forget where I saw it, one of the cop shows I think.
