Nice load off too Wales this morning 18m overall length, trailer only about 1.75t though.
Two trailers going with 30 boats been sitting in warehouse for a few months because of COVID.

I used to do a bit of rowing in my youth, this looks a fairly tame load compared to some of the loads we sent to regattas we attended at the other end of the country.

seen em being offloaded in BC.
A derrick is craned over the truck, gurt strops slung underneath, and the whole load swung up and onto waiting railway wagons.
Effadoodle...what scale of ops.
(mind, these logs and such operations are more or less a thing of the past now....they've cut most of it)

Doesn't make much difference, most have a lifting roof so the height changes all the time anyway ( don't think this one does tho ), you would see the step frame trailers running with the roof at the front higher than the back.

We hope it isn't. You have to remember what your overall height is though.
Our point in doing this was that we can now carry the same amount of sheep as an artic yet have the flexibility to get in and out of small farms.

Most of the time the trailer is loaded will be on long haul as in the south east there is only two markets and no large abattoirs.

Often wondered why wagon and drags going onto farms don’t often use a 50mm ring hitch rather than 57mm so they if they get in a bit if a fix the trailer can be dropped and towed / manoeuvred with a tractor pickup hitch.
