Now Then..
I know nothing of this obviously. If 'No 1' is live, when the switch is pressed, the current will flow down No 2 or No 3 to the change over solenoid.
If I were you, I'd be looking at the other end of the cable/wires..

It doesn't matter which one is live so long as one is. One of the others will go to the change over solenoid via a 7 pin plug near the loader hose connections. Don't worry about the ground (earth) I doubt it'll be in the joystick handle

Are you new to this loader..??
One presses the button, the changeover valve on the loader frame directs the tip ram oil to the 3rd (log grab) service when you move the joystick on the cross axis. Release the button and it's back to the tip rams,,,, 🤔

The button works a diverter valve at the end of the boom. Holding the button in diverts the oil from the crowd rams to the third service (the log grab in this case) and you operate it by moving the lever side to side. Let go the button and the oil goes back to the crowd rams.

edit - Tractortech beat me to it :)

Morning hijacking thread but losing the plot with my loader 3rd service. Connected squeezy. Worked for about 10 seconds then stopped. Buzzing behind button on joystick, so some sort of shorting. Checked all wiring, which was very old and connections were worn so replaced. Again worked for a few seconds. Then stopped, no buzzing now and button makes a good click, so I think that is now not the problem. I noticed that both times I have for the loader to work briefly the battery had been disconnected for a while. I think solenoid is the problem. It appears to be stuck on. Is there anyway to get solenoid to release? It should should slide off valve? And yiu should be able to press in/out central pin on valve? Any help much appreciated. Could be wiring causing the problem as I followed connections already there, but 3rd service worked earlier in year with muck grab and as said it has worked a couple of times briefly with squeezy.
