Local Crime Waves

Always interesting to see the crime rate drop when they do catch one.

You've got to try everything. Keep a list of all their vehicles and number plates and if you see them in town with even a brake light not working ring it in.

The police line about resources is not true. They need to get out and do some work.

Just the same here, North Notts. Usual culprits regularly caught on camera. Well known to the police but no action taken.
Occasional police operation in the area, at great expense, to "re-assure" the public but when you need response for an incident the usual answer is here is your crime number.
After a recent incident I have been invited to the police station for a interview in 3 weeks time. They can't even be arsed to come and see video footage or damage done.
General opinion is a little defeatist but why bother involving the Plod....protect our own

This is what's trotted out all the time and no doubt there is some truth in it. However they give the impression of not giving a flying fig. Example from a couple of weeks ago, transit van calls, says their from the highways agency and there's going to be some work done on the road and they want somewhere to put the old tarmac, it will be free. The old scam because they then want £4 a square foot for laying it ! I checked their reg number on the DVLA site and the van was not taxed. Phoned the police told them all this, also told them where they've come from because there's a load of them turned up not far away. Standard response "it will be added to our intelligence". Well what is so difficult about going down and confiscating an untaxed van? Later found out at least 3 other reports had been made for the same thing and for other vehicles as well, they all got the same response. I could fill this page with other examples.

Not enough people? Well how come it takes 2 police people to come and stencil a code onto equipment so it can be identified after it's been stolen, when one civilian could have done it.
We all could tell similar examples

I just highlighted maybe a reason - that’s all

same with ambulance service, overstretched and so it’s now drive yourself to hospital

Broken Britain

Who’s in charge though ?

Good point, shows the priorities they have for using their "scarce resources"
"Easy cop" isn't it, if you're on a recorded 999 saying you'll harm them if plod don't get there and call them names. To be fair I'd expect plod to react the same if anyone said they'd stab a gay person etc.

See a known transit tipper with no tax parked up on the highway? How about testing response times by letting the tyres down, calling 999 and seeing how long it takes for anyone to come out? If it's a known offender they'll come nab them for *anything* given a real chance.

Bear in mind how quickly Plod will arrest you if you sound threatening and refer to these folk using any kind of slur.

"The law is for the law abiding"

If you exist outside the system, then the system struggles to deal with you. Add in the ethnic minority protected status, and endless queue of bleeding heart useful idiots to advocate, and they're absolute teflon.

The bitter truth is this, everyone knows whos doing most of the serious crime, the police arnt stupid? same as this wide spread countrywide groming of young, yes young white girls by you know who? Who speaks up for them? Its un pc correct so, they , the police local authorities, planning etc etc, go after the easy soft targets? whilst the others, whos crimes in , most peoples books are alot more dangerous? serious get away and smirk at authority?

Had an attempted break in to my car when I lived dahn sarf. Went to the local station to report it on a Saturday afternoon. The WPC on the desk said no one was available to take my details, they were so busy, but they would be in touch, this was followed by a roar from the back room as someone had scored a goal on the TV.
I got a call from the station that night for my details. Months later a letter came, the culprit had been arrested and pleaded guilty to mine and 40 other break ins, but because he was in jail on a more serious charge, they would not be pressing charges.

The english? British if you like? years ago had a worldwide reputation of being law abiding doing the right thing? playing the game? Not any more ? What went wrong, is it the wests rebellion against all things that stand for authority, and old traditions that grew in the 1960s counter culture coming now to fruit?

As I posted in another thread, watching one of those cop shows last week, and a couple of officers arrested a suspect at 7am. All over by 7.20am, except they had another 12 hours of paper work to fill in. Yes, 12 hours. No wonder they ain't keen to make arrests, and solve crime.

Instead of them retiring at 50 on gold plated pensions, why not get them between the ages of 50 and 65 to do the paper work?

Just completely out of control everywhere. Locally a smmallholding sudddenly sprouted an amazing steel fence 8 foot high around three or four acres. Electric gates which are coated in steel sheet so you can see nothing inside. Just get the bodd glimpse of a maze of caravans, lorries with hiabs you name it just outside a little sleepy village. Every planning brule in the book has been broken , but nothing is done
Yep, know that one

Sounds a great example to follow 👌

The cops are nowt but lazy hereabouts, I get it that theives are difficult to catch and prosecute but what worries me more, is they seem to be completely apathetic to what can only be described as a cocaine epidemic in the locality, despite numerous people raising the issue.
