Got fed up with Google search engine 's constant nagging wanting me to allow all kinds of access to my phone . Changed my default to "duckduckgo" . So far so good , but , now when I do a search it always comes up with U.S. sites as default -- Amazon , or e bay for instance with the prices in U.S. dollars . I can sometimes change this by searching for xxxxx UK as an example . How to change my default search parmeters ?

Near the top of the page, just before the list of results, there should be a toggle to enable UK based results.

Well, that was a short lived triumph ! . As soon as I switch off , and next time I access it , it's gone back to "US" setting . Every time too , not just occasionally . Is there something in the settings that can fix it so that it stays UK ?

thanks for the idea. I don’t like google service too intrusive. Especially when from a smartphone (Android) when personal information or photos immediately go to google storage. I recommend softros lan messenger to anyone who is interested in a safe way to transfer photos to a PC. It works without an Internet connection and your data is not sent anywhere.
