Lockdown is over!

This lockdown compared to the first has been much more busy on the roads, obviously don’t see much traffic living in the middle of a field, but as soon as you get to town it’s unbelievable.

Big question of the day. Do I need to purchase another paper mask or will the one which has been hanging from the gear stick in my truck see me out until mask wearing is removed and I can get my daily newspaper without having to wear the covid PPE gear and fog up my spectacles. It is getting a bit manky now - and I suspect is a health hazard - but not covid hazard.

I have mentioned this before elsewhere but as a mean parent this is good news my daughter is picking up work and as such hopefully will be less of a burden £ 50 at Chelsea on Tuesday, £180 inclusive of tips at the races yesterday and a shift in the executive boxes at the Emirates tomorrow . So she’s on track for paying back her education. Viva the end of Lockdown.

Driving through the S East of the UK back to the midlands yesterday I’d say normality has returned. Packed roads all the way - admittedly it was Friday but lots of folks looked like they were going on holiday.

yea hotels etc did open last monday, nice to see some normality though all though i did like the roads during full lockdown

You should probably replace that. Get a condom and put it on your head. Nice and snug.

No announcement on masks yet, they are obviously waiting for the data.
It's data not dates remember

We are a long way from normal, we're away for a few days, stopped off at Upton on Severn, nothing open on Sunday and few people about, this is a place that would normally have a consistent tourist trade.

Highly disappointed in church today. Despite being able to have a house full of children for a party for my child; go out drinking and eating; spend a day playing soldiers in someone's home; I still can't sit in a sparse building with five fellow members without a barsteward mask (everyone there vaccinated) nor can we use the kitchen to make a sodding cup of tea and must bring our own.
