Locked thread

Admin,

I can understand why the Dribble bars/tb thread was locked and I think you were right to do so. But why was someone allowed to post such unproven rubbish to start the thread?

To answer your first point ...er .. first, I had considered deleting the whole thread and perhaps on reflection should have done but you have to remember that there is a lot of activity on the site and we are few in number so things do get missed. Once I was aware of the slanging match, I locked

In answer to your second point, I was unaware of the antagonism that seems to exist between certain members but the issue of spreading slurry using low trajectory applications certainly does raise management problems within a grazed system and without the argy-bargy on the thread, there are salient points raised that may not have been considered by other farmers.

OP specifically linked the use of dribble bars to the spread of tb with no evidence whatsoever.

Would you let me start a thread that all Everton supporters are sexual deviants?

If I can answer your first point:

As I am not a member of the SW dairy mafia (milkifa?) & was blissfully unaware of the tensions in the region so I read from the OP that there was an inference that the use of a dribble bar could potentially raise the risk of bTB as the grazing window could be shortened on a "I'll risk it" basis and that the dribble bars had been grant aided. Ergo, the grant was inadvertently causing extra TB issues.
There is extensive research on slurry & the possible spread of TB vis:

I therefore was happy to run the thread until it got personal and it was brought to my attention

As to the second point, I would assume that all football clubs have supporters with "issues". We currently are having to deal with the appointment of an Ex RS manager .... which is enough to drive anyone to drink if nothing else

Is this the right place to say i'm disappointed that the vegan chap has had his thread locked ? Can we not explore his ideas with him ?
( Said as someone who had their second ever post on here 'locked pending moderation' or words to that effect, presumably due to my first ever post ringing alarm bells )

I think it was a member running a multi to get reactions after the other 370 ac post.

I have my suspicions...

Prime example of "can dish it out, but can't take it"

Read the evidence.
If you wanted evidence for your clipboard there it is plain and simple.
