Ours must be over 40 years old and still winds it’s way through anything you put in front of it. Couldn’t be simpler.
Are these CE marked now?

Finger knipping good 👍
Watched one on demo at a show , no ta sorry.
Chatting to a dude in a shoot cabin who had a really swollen disfigured hand , log walloped him about a year previously on one of those, log bit came round and pined him to table , odly he stopped selling logs .

Prefer hydraulic.

Its a splitmaster 9
Presumably 9 ton
Posch make the best splitters imo and certainly one of the best.
The Splitmaster 9 is one of their smaller ones though, top end of the domestic range really. Not that it means it's not good of course.
Mine's a little bigger and will cut sleepers across the grain, completely OTT but such fun. :)

@Tomr10 Colin ?

@Kidds
Ive only read good tbh re. Posch i wish the 9 said 20 but ... have a better play when i get a minute. Never used a horizontal or 4 / 6 way before . Previous just one a wide vertical cutting blade.
I know the lads who have run it for years who highly rate it . Not the owner.

Cheers

I fancy a electric one as we always bring them back to the barn to split anyway and don't really like listening to a tractor ticking over for hours ! Are they up to the task ? or to slow ? any recommendations ?? cheers
