On the other hand, son and I did a 400 mile round trip to mid Wales yesterday to pick up a shearing trailer. Main roads and motorways were "relatively" quiet. Even the service stations were very quiet with most like us having a stretch and a flask from home. Some people were going into service area building probably for a pee. Suppose the ladies didn't want to risk the shrubbery !!

Went armed with paperwork in case were stopped but in the 90 or so miles we drove in Wales saw only around 30 to 40 cars, a fair amount of them were agricultural looking, and not one policeman.

Don't think so, looks like we went further north across , Telford / Shrewsbury then into Wales.

Sat Nav sent us onto some "short" cuts over the hills in places.......... quite glad no traffic about and the change of scenery was very welcome (y)
