London Uni Campus Beef Ban

Joanna Blythman has for years been my food writing heroine. Read her books. I have said that she should be paid a retainer to be a red meat champion.
At which point those with an opposing view will simply say she’s in the pocket of the meat industry, at the moment she’s independent, just be grateful there are folk like her out there.

GMB reported this today and said NFU had said that this was a too simplistic reaction and the bigger picture of grazing and locally produced should be considered and carbon captured in grassland or words to that effect. There was not an NFU spokesperson just a quote.

And make the professors and staff walk to work
Wearing woollen or hemp clothing only
Ban all plastics and man made fibres from their campuses
And only use their solar energy ie disconnect from the Grid
Only serve food grown in the UK..... raw obviously as the heat source for cooking requires carbon release
Convert all their toilets to compost toilets and use dock leaves instead of toilet paper
Harvest rainwater to use on campus
Etc etc

Let them carry on, they are saving the planet with this single measure, no-one else need worry about climate change anymore and beef can be sold everywhere else.
