Didn't realise Hull still had a market!Hull livestock market in October

I bet you would!
Once in every four years isn’t alwaysYou boys that buy them always do well out of them so it's time the price went up ?
Just to try to cover the losses of the previous three years ?You keep buying though
Done the same with 17 quid blackies and didn't have one die. Admittedly only 18 bought to see. They sold for 86 quid 3 month laterThere is a certain person that buys alot of those 'also run' lambs cheaply in Ashford market.
Found out the secret to his success. He injects them with cydectin LA wormer and reckons the mortality rate is no higher than the better store lambs.
It's handy enough for anyone in North lincs. Auctioneers are helpful people good to deal with. ?Didn't realise Hull still had a market!
Time for some Google research
There is a risk of tariffs on sheep meat exports to the EU in the new year. That will add £2.63p to the price per kilo. There is also a likelihood that the UK market will be more open to imports soon
Presumably @Cripper means that it will add £2.63 to the purchase price in the EU?Export tariffs will surely take money off the producer price, rather than add it on?

It sure will. A quick look at the BBC news website shows very little to do with Brexit negotiations and what is there is far from encouraging. Hopefully it will be a few weeks before it hits the buffers and we can all get some lambs sold!I’d hope so, but at first glance I wasn’t sure. It’s going to make it difficult for UK lamb producers to compete if it happens.
