Keith’s top knotch, but everyone is beatable! They look to have cleaned up nice...
Was that a fixed landslide to replace the rolling ditto on your Fergie plough? A ghastly gadget intended to reduce draught.I extended the one on my Fergie and in so doing I only had 2" wide strips of steel so welded 3 together to extend it by 6", I managed to get it to pull by mistake when I welded it up, so it actually has a very slight curve towards the rear and the improvement is marked. It pulls straight with ease, as before it always wanted to steer the tractor towards the ploughed work no matter what I did or tried, moving the plough on the cross shaft both ways and running the shaft to narrow or wide, it just wouldnt pull straight but now it's a joy to use (if a Fergie ever can be!!!)
Yes, got fed up of cleaning/oiling it and it mucked the furrow wall up on sandy soils. They did an export Fergie plough with fixed landslide. My father recounts of when grandfather bought a couple of Super Dexta's and matching Ransomes ploughs, first thing theu did was take the rolling landslides off and chuck them away. Was that a fixed landslide to replace the rolling ditto on your Fergie plough?
