UKPower Networks have just replaced 2 poles on our land with longer ones because I complained that the line was too low. They checked it and it was 4.8 metres.

It still took them 6 months to do the job though

Contractors ran big trailers and a Claas spfh in there last year

Forager would have been close I reckon[/QUOzebbedee, I remember one of your neighbours touching power line with his combine few years back,blew the tyres out and probably that's wat saved him!

I used to cut under it with our New Holland 1545 with no cab on and I'm sure I could have touched it if I'd stood up and reached up

While they were at it they also removed a stay wire from another pole for me. The stay was reducing the width of a access track to just 3M, a pain with our 3M mower and power harrow . It now has a high level cross brace wire to another pole (with its own stay wire) in the scrub on adjacent land the other side of the track which is now 3.5M wide.
