Hi,
In need of some advice. I have a good work history but nothing in the Farming and Agri sector.
I am currently working as an Assistant Management Accountant and have been in the finance business for 7 years. I have come to a point which I have known for quite a long time that working in an office is not for me. Going brain dead is an understatement.
I am wanting to get to the outside. I have a passion for animals always have! I like to work hard and feel like I have achieved something and contributed which I rarely get in my current profession. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty (which I think is important in the farming industry).
I am hoping to get into this industry and have been looking at Assistant Heards person vacancies.
Clearly from my work experience I do not have any practical experience with working on a farm other than visiting my great uncles as a child and collecting chicken eggs.
I am a fast learner on the job and pick things up quickly.
I live in Birmingham with my wife and child and another on the way. Job security is very important as is regular salary. Commuting is ok up to a point due to have little children.
Does anyone have any advice for me or even better a potential job. I am serious about getting out of the office environment I will take any advice on board.
thanks for reading
Ricard
