Looking For Work Looking for arable work in East Yorkshire.

Thanks for reading my post.

I have been a semi skilled joiner for nearly 13 years and have been itching at a career change for some time now.

I have decided to try and pursue a new career in the arable side of farming at the age of 29 (hope I’m not too late).
In my pursuit to get a foothold in the industry I have contacted many farmers and gained advice from them but unfortunately have had no luck gaining full time employment. I have been informed many a time that reliable workers are hard to come by in agriculture. I would like to assure you that I am extremely reliable and understand the hours and passion it takes to be a farmer in general.
To further my chances of getting some work in this area I paid to do my NPTC telehandler training. Although I have had not had the opportunity to use this machine in my working career yet, I hope this shows my drive to look more desirable to a potential employer.

I would like to stress that I'm giving up on a 13 year career in construction to try and get a job in agriculture, so I would be coming into a new job eager and committed to learn as much as possible. I know for a fact that I would be an honest, reliable and hard working employee if given the chance.

I'm looking for full time work but would also jump at the opportunity for any weekend work to gain experience. Any advice would also be welcomed. I understand with the current circumstances due to coronavirus my options may be limited.

I'm based in East Yorkshire, but I can drive so would be willing to travel as long as it was financially possible.

If anyone would like a copy of my CV feel free to ask and I can email one across.

Many thanks again for taking the time to read my post.
