Looking for Land to metal detect on

Myself and my mum have purchased a metal detector and are very curious about starting to go out and search. But we're finding it hard to find land we can detect on can anyone help us please.

Best of luck with your quest....but farmers are inundated with metal detecting requests. Farms are working businesses not play grounds.
Hope you find somewhere but don't be surprised if you don't.

Maybe that should have been considered before purchasing the gear.

You can't just "go detecting" with the exception of some Crown Estate beaches and on some local authority land.

Aside from that your best bet is to join a club and work from there.

Sadly most clubs have very long waiting list as there are lots of people who want to join for access to land without putting anything back in.

The alternative are FB "groups" who will happily take £20+ off you for a day out and subsidise their day job/social with 50% of the gate fee.
