Looking up legal cases (Scotland)?

As the title really.

I want to look up a legal case involving agricultural buildings and planning but need to access to details of the actual case. Can't find much beyond the title with Google and at first sight it seems I must subscribe to a specialist site or qualify as a lawyer?

What's the best thing to do? It is MacPherson vs. Secretary of State if that is of any help.

Not all Opinions are published, and it's difficult to find older ones online that pre-date the internet. I've had a really good rummage and can't find the opinion anywhere - not even in the National Archive of Scotland. I don't know if this information document from The HIghland Council is much use - it does twice refer to the case you are interested in - https://www.highland.gov.uk/downloa...nce_on_agricultural_and_forestry_private_ways

It's worth asking some of the older solicitor firms - they may have something filed away on microfiche or similar.

Thank you, Ruth, I found that reference. Since this appears to be a landmark case, it does not reflect well on the Scottish legal system that it seems so difficult to access! But I appreciate your trying for me. I have the gist but always like to check the source.
